General Balloon Questions

The use of a helium regulator will control helium flow into the balloon and eliminate damage.

The foil valve measures how much helium is going in and will stop even if you continue to push on the nozzle.

No, you will put too much helium in the balloon too fast and damage the balloon.

Yes, you can reinflate a balloon with air or helium.

Air – Gently insert a straw into the valve of the balloon and blow into the balloon until it has been reinflated. When balloon has been reinflated, gently remove the straw, the balloon will self-seal.

Helium – refill balloon.

There is a straw in the package, remove and gently place inside the valve at the bottom of the balloon. Blow in the straw until the balloon is full and pull the straw out.

Most standard and larger sized balloons have self-sealing valves and do not require the use of a heat sealer or tying. The inks on foil balloons may run if they come in contact with water.

Hold the tail flat, fold over one time then lay string across the valve, continue to fold the tail upward towards the balloon. Take the string and tie a double knot. Tail is no longer visible.

You should always tie off a balloon at the directed dotted line – “tie balloon here” on tail of balloon.

Certain foil balloons cannot float at a high altitude. If you live in a high-altitude location, please consider the following:

Balloons that are 21″ or larger are more likely to float at high altitudes than smaller standard balloons.

Standard balloons that have detailed designs use more ink, which may cause the balloon to be heavier and less likely to float at a high altitude. This is also true for all 2-sided, standard designs.

Standard round or square shaped balloons generally float better than heart, star, or other shaped balloons.

Balloon weights and ribbons attached to balloons contribute to the floating ability.

Packaged denotes that foil balloons are in a package with one (1) piece per package. Non-packaged denotes that foil balloons are not individually bagged.

Measurements for foil balloons listed under each product number are approximate and should be used as a range (guide) when gauging size. Due to variations in manufacturing processes, actual sizes may fluctuate and vary.

Safe Balloon Practices

Never release helium balloons outdoors, always tie each one down to a weight.

Uninflated or burst balloons can be a choking hazard for young children, so please keep an eye on them at all times.

Always use a balloon pump to inflate balloons and never inhale helium.

Balloons made of natural rubber latex can cause an allergic reaction, so be aware of who has allergies and always have help ready.

When you’re done with a balloon, snip the end to deflate it and then dispose or recycle it properly.
